Pranav Dhanawade now holds the record for the highest individual score in any class of cricket.

Mumbai school cricketer Pranav Dhanawade continued to storm into the record books today when he reached 1002 not out for KC Gandhi School against Arya Gurukul during the H.T. Bhandari Cup inter-school cricket tournament organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
Dhanawade, the son of an auto-rickshaw driver, had broken the record for the highest individual score in any class of cricket yesterday when he reached 652 not out. The record was earlier held by Arthur Collins, who had scored 628 not out in a Junior House Match in June, 1899 in England.

But Dhanawade was not done. He continued to lead the charge for his side and when he

Pranav Dhanawade World Record in Cricket - 1002 runs

Fifteen-year old Pranav Dhanawade has become the first player in any form of cricket to score 1000 runs. He is currently batting on 1002 not out in an inter-school match in the HT Bhandari Cup in Mumbai. His team's total has crossed 1400. The match is still in progress.

On Monday, Dhanawade broke a world record from 1899, scoring a massive unbeaten 652 off just 199 balls, breaking the world record for the highest individual score, beating Englishman AEJ Collins, who scored 628 back in 1899. He also broke the record for the highest individual score in any kind of cricket played in India, surpassing the 546 scored by Rizvi Springfield High School student Prithvi Shaw in Mumbai in 2014.

Dhanawade is playing for Smt. KC Gandhi School in Kalyan.

Pranav Dhanawade unbeaten 652 Runs cricket record....

A 15-year-old batsman from Mumbai has broken 116-year-old record by scoring an unbelievable number of runs in an Under-16 inter-school cricket tournament organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

Pranav Dhanawade, playing for Smt. K C Gandhi School, Kalyan, scored an unbeaten 652 runs from just 199 balls, with the help of 78 fours and 30 sixes, as he registered his name in the record books.

Dhanawade made the staggering record against Kalyan’s Arya Gurukul School in the H T Bhandari Cup, one of the several inter-school tournaments organised  by the MCA.

The prodigal talent helped his team reach 956 runs for the loss of just one wicket at the end of the first day. While Dhanawade was not out on 652, number three batsman Siddhesh Patil was unbeaten on 100. Aakash Singh, the only batsman to have been dismissed, had scored 173 runs.

Dhanawade’s epic knock, which included 72 fours and 28 sixes, helped him take over the mantle of ‘highest individual score’ (including minor cricket) from AEJ Collins, who had held the record since 1899 when he struck an unbeaten 628 for Clark House against North Town House in UK.

In the course of his multiple record-breaking feat, Pranav also surpassed Prithvi Shaw’s marathon 546 scored in 2014 in a Harris Shield match, an innings that had previously been the highest individual score in any form of cricket in India.

The current bunch of young talent from Mumbai also includes the likes of Arman Jaffer and Sarfaraz Khan. While Sarfaraz had scored 439 in 2009, Jaffer posted 498 in 2010 to break the record, only to be surpassed by Shaw, who, in turn, has now been overtaken by Dhanawade.

Batting legend and cricket great Sachin Tendulkar also comes from the same Mumbai stable and his epic partnership of 664 runs with fellow Mumbaikar Vinod Kambli still manages to be the talk of the town.
